It's an optional fee. You can still play online. Unlike Live, you still get online play for FREE and can pay to view some extra content. It makes me wonder how many of the big babies crying about this pay for magazine subscriptions...

Good god, when you have Live Silver, can you play online? Now, when you have the PSN and do not pay for Qore, can you play online? I think that the simple answer to these questions will show just how stupid it is for anybody to compare Qore to Live Gold.

I actually prefer the DS3. It's not for the sake of rumble either, it's for the sake of a better BT signal. I would drop signal in the SIXAXIS from time to time but have not dropped signal once with the DS3. It is by far the better of the two.

Best way to go is to DL the first issue, spend the money and tell for yourself. Trusting others is not a good idea.
You still are not required to pay for the PSN and it is optional to pay for Qore... In order to play online with Live you have to pay 50 bucks and you still get adverts. This is not mandatory and is more for the hardcore that want an online mag. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. You just can't please everybody and it is sad that the Xbox trolls seem to think this is a viable not-pick against Sony. It's optional...
They just want to protect their fan base from would be spoilers and reviews that cannot keep the story to themselves before any of us have a chance to play the game. I for one appreciate it. I cannot stand spoilers and applaud them for doing this.
Sorry, but the game is just not as fun as I thought it would be and it would seem that no level of DLC will redeem it. Maybe it was too much hype that set me up for disappointment.
I don't care what platform it is on, I love this game. Since I have traded in my 360 version, I will pick up the PS3 version to play through it again.
